Many of Adiomans create infographics for Facebook and other social networks. Here is an example.

Probably the first thing that strikes you about this infographic is its simplicity. Indeed, simplicity is what makes infographics on social media work. There are three main principles of information design followed here.

  1. Have a recognizable visual structure (in this case - a tree)

  2. Keep the text fields short

  3. Have as few points as needed, not not fewer

Beauty is in simplicity. But before we even get to beauty we have to make sure the infographic serves its function which is to communicate. This infographic communicates exactly what the author promises - show us the reasons behind "the miseducation of the black mind". We instantly know that he is going to tell it to use because there is a clear visual structure we can follow.

We at Adioma are often surprised by how often people choose design techniques that lead to less engagement, fewer likes, and missed opportunities. Choosing vibrating neon backgrounds, overloading infographics with text, not actually showing in the infographic what is promised in the title are a few examples of such decisions.

It does not cost anything to make these decisions correctly. You will be rewarded for doing so.
Here are more examples of simple infographics made on Adioma following these principles.

If you want to make sure your infographic is social-media ready, you can email it to us at support@adioma.com and we'll take a look for you.
